Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By using Evently ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
2. What Evently Is
Evently is a free platform for discovering and posting local community events. We do not sell tickets, process payments, or guarantee that posted events are accurate, safe, or will occur.
3. Posting Events
- You may post free community events without registration.
- Paid tiers (Boost, Boost Plus, Pro, Business) are available via Gumroad and unlock featured placement, recurring events, and priority listing.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your event listing.
- We reserve the right to remove any event that violates these terms or our community guidelines without notice.
4. Prohibited Content
You may not post events that involve: illegal activity, hate speech, harassment, adult content, or misleading commercial solicitation. Violations result in immediate removal and may result in IP bans.
5. Paid Tiers & Refunds
Paid tiers are processed by Gumroad. Refund requests must be made to Gumroad within 7 days of purchase. Boost and Boost Plus tiers are time-limited (3 days and 7 days respectively) and expire automatically.
6. RSVP & Email
If you provide your email to RSVP to an event, we may send you one reminder email before the event. We will not sell your email or send marketing without consent.
7. Limitation of Liability
Evently is provided "as is." We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, attendance at events, or reliance on event information. Maximum liability is $10.
8. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA.

Privacy Policy
1. What We Collect
- Event listings: Title, description, date, time, location, category, and contact email (if provided) when you post an event.
- RSVP emails: Email address and the event you RSVP'd to, stored in our database.
- Location: GPS coordinates (browser permission required) — used only to sort nearby events. Never stored on our servers.
- Local storage: Your saved events, notification preferences, and organiser profile are stored in your browser's localStorage. We cannot access this data.
2. How We Use Data
- Event listings are publicly visible in the app feed.
- RSVP emails are used only to send one event reminder email per RSVP. We do not sell email addresses.
- Aggregate usage data (event views, going counts) may be used to improve the product.
3. Third-Party Services
- Supabase — Database hosting (US). Privacy policy: supabase.com/privacy
- Gumroad — Payment processing for paid tiers. Privacy policy: gumroad.com/privacy
- Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — Geocoding event addresses. Privacy policy: osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy
4. Data Retention
Event listings are retained until removed by the organiser or Evently. RSVP email records are deleted 30 days after the event date.
5. Your Rights
You may request deletion of any data associated with your email address by contacting us at support@niledreamsdigital.com. We will respond within 7 business days.
6. Cookies
We do not use tracking cookies. We use browser localStorage for user preferences only.
7. Children
Evently is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
